When we make our reusable cloth pads here at Party In My Pants, we start with the most important part: the fabric! Let’s take a peek at what goes into each pad.
Step 1: The Absorbent “Guts”
We begin with the inside layers, which we lovingly call the “guts” of the pad. These are made from a super absorbent, breathable fabric called birdseye cotton.
You might be surprised to know birdseye cotton is used in everything from men’s suits to baby diapers – that’s how versatile and absorbent it is! It’s thin, soft, and perfect for soaking up flow while staying comfy.
Each of our 15 pad and liner sizes has a different number of layers, depending on how much absorbency is needed. For heavier flows, we add an extra layer of soft organic fleece for even more absorbency.

Step 2: The Fun Fabric on Top
Next comes the part you actually get to see and choose – the face fabric!
This top layer is where you get to show your style. We handpick a wide variety of cotton and flannel fabrics in fun colors and prints. Some are:

Step 3: Waterproof Backing
The final layer is a thin but mighty layer of waterproof nylon. This keeps leaks from sneaking through so you can go about your day worry-free.
Organic vs. Non-Organic: What’s the Difference?
You can also choose between organic and non-organic fabric options. They look and feel the same, but organic fabrics go through extra certification to meet high sustainability standards.
To be labeled 100% organic, the fabric must be:
